OKIDATA C5500 cartridges only:
- These have chips which will prevent the printer from recognizing the refilled
cartridge. No replacement chips are currently available, but you can successfully
refill the cartridges and overcome this issue if you refill BEFORE the printer
reaches toner low, and the chip switches it all off
- Alternatively, if the switch locks you out and you did not refill in time,
you can put the printer into ‘Factory Mode’ (as per Okidata manual)
although the toner usage is different to normal printing using this method.
